This is the first I wrote in the series. I wanted something lighthearted and while it is that moreso than the Chicago pack, it became something more when they revealed themselves to be superheroes, using their abilities to help. I didn't plan when Michelle gets attacked, but there it was right in the beginning... and a series unraveled from there. xx, Faleena

"The first book I ever wrote I tied with yarn, illustrated with crayon, and sold to my parents for a buck. I was about five years old. Ever since, stories of love and redemption have always struck a cord in me." She's an actress and director, too, and currently lives in Atlanta, GA, where she loves the unpredictable weather patterns after living in Los Angeles for twenty years. "Last night a thunder storm, today 75 degrees, tomorrow snowflakes drifting in the night sky. Can't beat it."

bravo* This is one of the best para's I have read in a long time

*Standing ovation to Ms. Hopkins....bravo...bravo* This is one of the best para's I have read in a long time, I read this in less than 2 hours, once I started I could not stop. No offense intended to any other authors when I say this, but most of the shifter books are 75% sex, mulitable shifters, etc, hey I am NOT knocking them, cause I read them almost like they are candy, but with this book, the story line was more human, Nathaniel and his pack kept such a low profile (for lack of a better word).
Michelle is great, I would love to hang out with her, she is open minded, speaks her mind, has a sense of humor I loved, she is kind, and devoted to her friends. She the type of person I would be blessed to have as a friend. On to Nathaniel......ummmmm does he have a twin brother hidden somewhere? lol. He is strong, caring, when he is with his friends, there is the usual *guy stuff* he watches out over his city with his 3 friends and pack members, stopping crime, and all that good stuff. (nope, wont do it....no spoilers) Michelle and Nathaniel are out for the evening and their eyes meet across the room, and you could feel the sparks fly. About a week or so goes by, and Nathaniel is moody, so his friends come up with a plan to bring them together ( hey lets face facts here a moody werewolf is no fun to around) ;) Michelle was beginning to put a few pieces together, so when Nathaniel shared his secret, she was open and accepting, I got tears in my eyes, I was so happy for them. I can not wait for the next book in the series, I fell in love with everyone and hope to read their stories. Werewolves in New York deserves way more then 5 stars. I have to go read it again, it is just that good. I would recommend this book highly to everyone. Please give it a read, I am sure that you will LOVE it. Thank you Ms. Hopkins for putting a smile on my face and a smile in my heart. Happy Reading

I want more! I found it to be an easy read that pulled me in and made me care about the characters and their lives. There was just enough steam to keep me wanting more but not so much that it became the story. I enjoyed the relationship between the "pack" members and hope to learn more about each one soon. Unlike other werewolf stories I found it refreshing that even in the heat of love or fight they still have control and can reign themselves in. They are more than just "animals". While there was enough werewolf in the story, there wasn't so much that it was the entire story. It wasn't a werewolf story as much as a story about finding true love - your fated mate.
It was the prefect escape for me, we all need some fantasy in our lives and this was a wonderful fantasy. No matter how strong and independent we are it is always nice to have that someone special who sees us as prefect, flaws and all. Nathaniel is that man, whether we want to admit it or not, we all wish we had him or someone like him by our side.
One warning; once you open this book be prepared to put everything else on hold so you can finish it. For the few hours it took me to read it nothing else matter, I was completely vested in the story.

I don't know what to think

I loved the approach of the shifters in this book. Not the I'm the alpha, you're the beta, you're my mate hear me howl kind of shifters, but a group of them who try to get by day by day outside of a pack. What turned me off soooooo much was the fact that the main characters got married after knowing each other what.. A day? Something like that, maybe two days, but still. I get that the H is a shifter and he has the whole insta-love thing, but the h is human.. Come on be a little normal, she didn't even know were he lived. And if I walked up to my friends and said: " let's go to my wedding to a man I've known for less than a week!" I honestly hope they'll have enough sense to at least try and have me committed.
