About the Author
Callie Barkley loves animals. As a young girl, she dreamed of getting a cat or dog of her own until she discovered she was allergic to most of them. It was around this time that she realized the world was full of all kinds of critters that could use some love. She now lives with her husband and two kids in Connecticut. They share their home with exactly ten fish and a very active ant farm.
Marsha Riti illustrated the picture book The Picky Little Witch by Elizabeth Brokamp. She lives in Austin, Texas, where she likes to take long walks, stopping frequently to pet neighborhood kitties.

Animals, Love, and Singing--You can't go wrong!

If you like animals, singing, and Valentine's Day this book is for you! Ellie, Amy, Liz, and Marion are friends who have a Critter Club. They help stray animals find homes. This time the friends are helping families pay for their new puppy's shots. Ellie has a great idea to raise money-- singing telegrams for Valentine's Day! The four friends help animals in all kinds of surprising ways--they even surprise one of their friends! Read this book to find out more--you will love it!

Love these books!

My daughter is 6 and she loves these books. She can polish one off in about two hours. She has read just about every one in the series. It's a sweet series and holds her attention. I wish more books were innocent fun reads like this for kids. I hate the Juney B. Jones stuff with bratty kids who are mean and mouthy. The world will teach them those things faster than it should -- we don't need to shove it down their throats. So I appreciate books likes these that let little girls be little for a while longer.
